Indigenous Project Database

In 2017, Lumos Energy completed a nation-wide survey of renewable energy projects over 1MW which had Indigenous ownership or participation. The results of these projects can be found in Powering Reconciliation and on the ICE website.

Lumos is now updating this database and is looking for YOUR help in identifying all types of clean energy projects of any size, including:

  • Solar

  • Wind

  • Hydroelectric

  • Geothermal

  • Biomass

  • District Heating

  • Pellets

  • Transmission

  • Combined Heat and Power

  • Hydrogen and Fuel Cells

  • etc.

We're looking for information about completed projects, but also ones that are in progress, even if it is early days. It is our goal to know what each of the Indigenous communities across Canada is doing in the clean energy space and whether there are any projects planned, in progress, or completed.

How can I submit a project to the database?

1. Contact Cara Sanders  through the ICE Network, or

2. Complete this form for each project that you want to add to the database
