On September 11th the first Generation Power cohort gathered on the traditional territory of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dene, Dakota, Nakota and Métis Nations, also known as Saskatoon, to celebrate their achievements over the past twelve months. These incredible young adults have successfully completed internships, intensive on-site lessons, and introductory training on clean energy, bringing them to the end of their Generation Power journey.

To celebrate the hard work that they have put in the Generation Power team held a ceremony at Wanuskewin Heritage Park, where they were presented with certificates and shared reflections on their participation in the program.

While Cohort 1 is technically over we know that this powerful group will continue to stay in touch, support one another, and become leaders in the clean energy sector. We wish them all the best on their individual journeys and can't wait to see the impact they make on their communities and beyond!

We also want to thank everyone who made the first year of GP an incredible success. We engaged with dozens of employers, funders, speakers, mentors and vendors over the past 12 months who have made outstanding contributions to the program, and it simply would not have had the same impact without all of you.

If you are a youth aged 18-30, looking to kick-start your career in clean energy, please don't hesitate to apply to the current cohort of Generation Power by clicking HERE to fill out an application today!
