Environment and Climate Change Canada would like to invite you to participate in a webinar on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, 1:00PM – 2:30PM Eastern Standard Time. The webinar has been postponed from its original planned date of September 21st to be respectful of the healing process in the wake of the terrible events that recently occurred in Saskatchewan.
This webinar will discuss the Government of Canada’s proposed Clean Electricity Regulations (CER) along with examples of complementary measures that will help drive progress towards a net-zero electricity grid by 2035, while maintaining the reliability and affordability of electricity systems.
Please find attached a calendar invite that you can add to your calendar. The meeting information is also copied below.
This webinar will be bilingual and will take place via Microsoft Teams. If you have difficulty connecting via the internet there is also the option to dial-in by telephone (please see the meeting information below). This webinar is intended to be open and engaging, where participants can freely ask questions and participate in the discussion.
This webinar is an introductory session on the CER for First Nations. If it generates further interest, we hope to engage with you and your organization in the future.
ECCC also continues to maintain our open-door policy on the development of the Clean Electricity Regulations. If you have concerns that you wish to discuss, please reach out to us at ECD-DEC@ec.gc.ca. Alternatively, please contact Keegan Balcom (Keegan.Balcom@ec.gc.ca) to arrange a small group meeting with the CER team.
