This CoLab is on the topic of Community Energy Planning (CEP) for Indigenous communities to develop sustainable energy futures and clean energy projects. The focus of the session are the first three stages of the CEP process:

  1. Determining your Energy Landscape;
  2. Convening Stakeholders and Building Your Energy Team; and
  3. Community Engagement and Energy Education.

This session will be hosted by Lisa Beaver, a 2017 Catalyst from Acadia First Nation in Nova Scotia. Presenting the CEP framework and providing expert insight about CEP is Eryn Stewart, Director of the 20/20 Catalyst Program. Eryn will be joined by Catalysts from three indigenous communities who will each describe how they were successful in their CEP by speaking to these three stages.
