The Clean Energy and Infrastructure Senior Technician (EG-05) will lead the logistical and technical support for visiting scientists, researchers, technologists and engineering experts at the CHARS campus. The successful applicant will supervise and assist with the planning, initiation, implementation and operations of clean energy and infrastructure technical projects on the CHARS campus and within the community of Cambridge Bay. This position is located in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut at the Canadian High Arctic Research Station (CHARS) campus and will require the use of the English language.

** Support is defined as preparing technical data and documentation including technical standards, specifications and instructions, time/cost estimates, deliverables, business and work plans, etc.
NOTE: Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement who are found qualified in this staffing process will be given priority appointment ahead of other qualified applicants. Inuit found qualified in this staffing process will be hired on a permanent basis while other successful candidates will be hired on a term basis. Anyone in Canada who is a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident, or has a valid work permit can apply. All successful applicants will be placed in a pool of qualified candidates which may be used by other Federal organizations operating in Nunavut.
