The ICE Technical Service Grant Program is a fund available through the Indigenous Off-Diesel Initiative for Indigenous communities and projects. The fund was created to connect trusted clean energy service providers with communities so that they may support the development or advancement of a clean energy project or initiative. Grants have been awarded to Clean Energy Champions from Indigenous communities and project teams across Canada during round one of the program earlier this summer. We are now accepting a second round of applications. The application deadline for round two is October 1st, 2021.
Technical services include, but are not limited to:
Funding application and technical writing support
Technical review of existing studies and reports
Pre-feasibility studies for renewable energy opportunities
Community engagement strategies
Community energy planning support
Clean energy project budgeting and business planning
Past or current ICE program participants from the 20/20 Catalysts Program, Bringing it Home, the Indigenous Off-Diesel Initiative or Generation Power; or Are Indigenous, or are currently employed by an Indigenous community to advance a clean energy project; and
The communities or projects receiving support shall be located on the lands also known as Canada.
