Buildings, including our homes, account for 18% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions, so helping Canadians make where they live more energy-efficient supports our environmental objectives while making homes more comfortable and more affordable to maintain.

We are responsible for areas such as Energy Efficiency Regulations, technical support to our ENERGY STAR programs; development of test standards to evaluate technologies; market transformation to achieve national greenhouse gas reduction goals, and technical support to major national initiatives such as the $2.6 billion Greener Homes Grant initiative.  This multi-faceted approach allows us to contribute to national and provincial/territorial energy efficiency initiatives across Canada.

We offer a welcoming team environment to work in, where employees can contribute their knowledge and learn from a diverse variety of colleagues.
