The Indigenous Research & Special Projects Analyst (“the Analyst”) will be responsible for conducting sustainability research, including but not limited to Indigenous economic reconciliation and transition pathways to a socially just economy. The Analyst will be responsible for defining the research scope, applying qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, analyzing the findings, writing pieces, and contributing to reports, briefings, and presentations.   

The role requires excellent support skills, including clear communications, analytical and strategic competencies, and an appetite for taking the initiative around opportunities as they present themselves.  

The Analyst will have a strong understanding of the business case for integrating environmental and social principles into corporate business operations. The candidate will also have a strong understanding of our shared history, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's Calls to Action and the opportunity to respond to the call to Reconciliation.  


Research & Projects 

  •  Identify leading practices for Indigenous Economic Reconciliation (Interviews and secondary research) 
  • Create an ecosystem map to identify opportunities for partnerships and collaboration   
  • Support the design and delivery of 2 to 4 focus groups to learn how CBSR can better enable partnerships and initiatives focused on Indigenous Economic Reconciliation.  
  • Support research projects with the accountability for delivering research and general project support on time.  
  • Develop analysis of research findings for draft reports and deliverables. 
  • Assist with the preparation of writing and editing grant proposals, draft reports and subject briefs (including content review and development). 
  • Qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.  
  • Preparation of tables, graphs and charts. 
  • Develop polished presentations that communicate research findings.
