Protecting the land and water, and revitalizing our languages and life ways are critical to our collective liberation. This is why NDN Collective is offering Community Self-Determination grants of up to $200,000, to be utilized over the course of two years, to Indigenous-led organizations working in the defence, development, and/or decolonization of Indigenous Peoples and the planet.

The application for the 2022 Community Self-Determination Grant is now open to Indigenous communities throughout Turtle Island. This includes Tribes, First Nations, Inuit, Métis and Indigenous-led nonprofit organizations across the borders of the continental U.S., Canada, Mexico, Islands of Hawaii, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The 2022 Community Self-Determination Grant application window closes on August 1st 2022.

The Community Self-Determination Grant is intended to build Indigenous Power throughout our Nations with significant, flexible, multi-year funding that includes the infusion of general operating support, power and capacity building, capital and holistic support for comprehensive initiatives, specific programs and community development based on regenerative principles.
