We would like to extend our congratulations to the Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek community (Gull Bay First Nation) for winning the Leadership in External Collaboration and Partnership award at the Sustainable Electricity Awards with the Canadian Electricity Association.
Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek collaborated with Ontario Power Generation for the Giizis Energy Facility, a renewable microgrid project to reduce diesel for electricity generation in the community. Our executive director, Chris Henderson worked as an advisor for this project, and 20/20 Catalysts AJ Esquega and Darrell Brown were responsible for developing the project.
You can hear Rosalie talk about the project at the 12:12 time mark of the video.
Great work everyone!
